Being a volunteer coming from China, living in Africa sounds like such a tough time to go through, and that was also what i thought it would be the first time I came here. However, all the adorable kids and resposible staff helped me come over the first period of hard time with various useful sugestions. Gradually, I settled into the life here, I love sitting under the warm sunshine , I admire playing with the smart kids and i enjoy the peaceful life here. In the first week, I realized the meaning of volunteering and i leant a lot about myself. We gave all the children a Kongfu worhshop, which impressed them a lot. We also had several deep talk with them, changing our ideas about future and dreams. I realized that kids here are potential and intelligent, because what they think and say are so matuire and impressive. For example, a kid named Crop wanna to be a pilot one day and donate the money to the development of children. Another child, Manu, said that he wants to be a doctor who can heal poor people free of charge. We are so glad that children understand the importance of giving. Generally speaking, I had an unbelievable week and found the positive content of childhood.
