Here, you will have the chance to volunteer in a small rural town in Ghana and give back to the needy. In the orphanage, you will be surrounded by twelve adorable children whose aim in life is to demand hugs from you. You will be playing games and teaching songs to the younger orphans, whilst being a role model to the older ones. You will have the freedom to express your teaching skills through many avenues, such as creative play, sensory play and traditional teaching.

Here is some information about the volunteering fee and what it includes:

Regardless of how long you wish to volunteer with us, you will need to donate £100 to Love Kids Foundation. This is a one off donation which goes completely to the orphanage and will help better the orphan’s lives and make a real difference to them. You will then be charged at £12 per day which includes:

If you wish to buy your own food, then you will be charged £6 per day.*
A member of Love Kids Foundation will be at the airport awaiting your arrival and you will be supported with airport transfer. However this shall be paid from your own expenses. Currently, transfer fees costs 80 Ghanaian Cedis (equivalent to £26/$42). However this is subject to change due to the time of year.
When booking your flight into Accra (ACC), please be aware of the arrival time. If the arrival time is after 9pm, you will need to stay the night in Accra. If this is the case, please notify us of this so we can arrange appropriate accommodation.*
Accommodation is provided at the orphanage, however if you wish to stay at a local hotel or a guest house close to the orphanage, please notify us of this and we will liase with you.*

*The staff at the project is not expected to cook the food you purchase.
*Please contact us to receive a quotation for the airport pick up and drop off.
*Please note that any hotel bookings to be made for the first night in Accra should be paid by the volunteer and is not a responsibility of Love Kids staff.
*Please note that you are expected to pay the fees of the hotel/guest house.

I have just returned from my second visit to The Love ids Foundation Orphanage. Leaving these lovely children behind again was extremely difficult But I will go back again and would urge you if you are thinking about volunteering to go here and get involved in the wonderful family atmosphere in this orphanage

I volunteered at Love Kids Foundation for 6 weeks and had an unbelievably amazing time there. I spent most days teaching the kids english, and playing with them through creative play such as arts and crafts, simon says and fun ghanaian dances. The area is such a beautiful place to volunteer in, there are cocoa and plantain trees amidst the rural area with beautiful long grass and the pet dog following us everywhere we went. I immediately felt at home and would recommend everyone to visit!
