Real or Spam?

Hey guys! I am relatively new to the site, but have done my fair share of checking the place out. All these projects and opportunities seem too good to be true...how do you know these organizations aren't a scam? I really want ot volunteer abroad, but these groups are groups I have never heard of and I am kinda niave and think the best of the world.  Any advice on how to know what's real and what's not? Thanks!

Well, one way to ascertain whether the posted organisations are real or not is to ask them for email ID, telephone number/ mobile number of the organisation. Also ask for the contact address of the local government authority. Verify the registration number and other details with  the local authority

HI Jule, 
You can also speak to other volunteers that have gone to the projects you are interested in. To the left of each project you are able to see if anyone "Has Been". Feel free to send them a message and get the scoop!
If you can't find someone that has volunteered through WWH, which is quite likely since we only launched in September, then definitely ask the organisation to put you in touch with one of their past volunteers.
Good luck and please keep us posted in your progress. The more info there is on WWH the more transparency there will be and the more confident our volunteers can be to take that all important first step!
