This program runs for approximately three weeks. The first and second week is dedicated to volunteering in rural communities in Ghana. The third week involves exploring the beautiful country and taking part in some adventurous activities!
High school students ages 15 and over, College or University students, Clubs and organizations can join OGVO to volunteer and travel for three weeks in Ghana. This is a great opportunity for you to help others - the local communities while gaining valuable learning, cultural experience and developing your leadership skills and making new friends.

Volunteering abroad is a fantastic way to boost your Resume and enhance your employability, whilst gaining some valuable experience. Volunteering abroad is also a great opportunity to learn and practice new skills. Think globally and make a difference with community development volunteer project in Ghana.
On your project in Ghana, you will have approximately 13 days to volunteer with community development initiatives, education or with institutions that cater for orphans.

OGVO will be offering you 3 remarkable projects for you to support. These include:
1. Sustainable Community Development - Manual Work (DAY 1-6): These are activities that involve manual labour, directed towards rural development such as building of classrooms, market stalls, health centers, housing scheme, ventilated improved toilets, community centers and youth training center. Also included are tree planting and agro-forestry projects such as cocoa and coffee plantations, oil palm plantation, clearing of farmlands, transplanting seedlings and harvesting of crops.
2. Orphanage Work (DAY 7-10): Organize physical and sports activities, develop creative programs such as arts, music and dance, assist the staffs in counseling the children, and teach basic Math and English, help the home in making their daily chores, helps in laying their beds, provide other activities to make the children’s life more better, etc.
3. Education - Teach Children in Schools (DAY 11-13): Teach basic Math and English and also use creative arts, crafts and recreation activities to teach children about social, environmental issues etc.

Third Week Travel Itinerary (DAY 14 – 21)
After the completion of your volunteer project, you will also have the unique opportunity to explore new cultures, engage in new adventures, discover exotic flora and fauna and meet new people. This stage is a time to relax and explore after knowing that you’ve done your part to help others in the world.  Your group can experience amazing wildlife, fascinating landscapes, historical locations, museums, gorgeous beaches, animated markets, endless adventures, and a diversified culture.
